Course Outline

As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes embedded in everyday workplace tools, organizations must establish clear policies to manage risk, ensure compliance, and enable responsible use. This course provides a practical foundation for developing AI governance policies applicable to a wide range of AI tools used in office environments (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, chatbots, analytics platforms).

Participants will explore how AI interacts with organizational data, identify risks such as privacy breaches, bias, and misinformation, and develop clear, actionable policies aligned with Ontario and Canadian legal requirements.

Through real-world workplace scenarios and hands-on exercises, learners will create a foundational AI policy that balances innovation with governance, privacy, and accessibility.
