Course Outline
Section 1: Set the Tone
Set the tone of the meeting or session with a purpose and hook that engage the group, and get participants interacting early with relevant icebreakers and a mutually agreed upon agenda with an outcome.
Section 2: How to Build Trust
The group will learn and discuss ways to build trust and the importance of creating safety. The best way to use your authority and presence that impacts trust and respect.
Section 3: Guide the Experience
Explore the key facilitation skills that create engagement and have participants invested in the topics.
Section 4: Communication Skills
This session will explore the building blocks of great communication: questioning skills, pitch, pace, pause and managing your body language.
Section 5: Active Listening
Participants will practice their active listening skills in unique and fun ways, testing their assumptive ways of listening and looking at other perspectives.
Section 6: Managing Expectations
In this session, participants will learn how to handle difficult conversations and emotional dynamics and manage the expectations.
Section 7: Practice
Final practice in setting the tone, guiding the experience, and managing the expectations.
Workshop Wrap-Up
At the end of the course, students will have an opportunity to ask questions and fill out an action plan.
